🏥About the Role

Position Title: Recreational Activities Officer

Reporting To: Lifestyle Coordinator

Employment Type: Part -Time, Saturday 10:00AM – 02:00PM and Sunday 09:00AM – 01:00PM

We are seeking a Part-time Recreational Activities Officer (RAO) to join our dedicated Lifestyle Team on the weekends. In this role you will help create meaningful experiences for our residents by planning and delivering engaging activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social connection.

About the Role

• Part-time permanent role (Saturday 10:00AM – 02:00PM and Sunday 09:00AM – 01:00PM.)
• Implement individualised lifestyle programs across a range of care needs
• Promote residents’ emotional wellbeing with empathy and compassion
• Engage with residents in a cheerful, respectful, and person-centred manner
• Ensure procedure-led care standards are upheld
• Opportunity to pick up additional shifts
• Be part of a supportive and collaborative team
• Saturday fun day with movies and Bingo
• Sunday managing the church service and quiz

What We’re Looking For

• Certificate III in Aged Care or related qualification/experience (Certificate IV in Lifestyle & Leisure highly regarded)
• Experience in planning and delivering lifestyle programs
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong communication skills and empathetic approach to residents and families
• Knowledge of Aged Care Standards and accreditation processes
• Current Driver’s License and First Aid Certificate (desirable)
• Computer literacy and good documentation skills
• Understanding of Work Health & Safety practices
• Commitment to the Christian values of Ashfield Baptist Homes
