About the role

Ascot Group is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our team in Adelaide, South Australia. As a Site Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards whilst also working on the tools. This is a full-time position based in Greater Adelaide.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supervising and coordinating the work of construction teams, including tradespeople and labourers
  • Overseeing the proper use of tools, equipment, and materials
  • Monitoring progress and making adjustments to work schedules and plans as needed
  • Hands on carpentry
  • Providing hands-on support and guidance to the construction team as required
  • Liaising with PM’s, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address any issues or concerns
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to the project

What we’re looking for

  • Extensive experience (5+ years) as a Site Supervisor in the construction industry
  • Minimum Cert III in Carpentry or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment particularly in commercial environments.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, blueprints, and specifications
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
