A bit about the role

Our Carpenters will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing building frameworks and structures, such as walls, floors, and roofs using materials such as wood, steel, concrete, and composites. Working in live environments you are working with a strong team on meaningful projects across Melbourne.

Responsibilities

• Cut, shape and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, steel and other materials
• Follow blueprints and building plans to meet needs of clients
• Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim
• Build scaffolding and other temporary structures to facilitate building construction
• Maintain clean and organised workspaces
• Inspect and troubleshoot machinery and equipment
• Complete all tasks in compliance with relevant safety regulations and quality standards
• Collaborate with other team members to plan and execute construction activities

Qualifications:

• Cert 3 in Carpentry
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to operate power tools and machinery safely and effectively
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 25kgs
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
