We support Australia’s defence capability by deploying expert engineering consultants into high-impact environments with a core specialisation in Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO), Aircraft Structural Integrity (ASI), acquisition, sustainment, research and development. We are the largest industry supplier of Explosive Ordnance (EO) engineers to the Department of Defence (DoD).

About the Role

Ascent is hiring for multiple Weapons Engineering opportunities across Australia, including Canberra, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney. The successful candidate will be working closely with Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance Group (GWEOG) in supporting Australia’s GWEO capability.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Can work from a GWEO Group facility in CBR, ADL, MLB, or SYD.
  • Hold a minimum NV1 security clearance.
  • Are available from 1 July.
  • Have previous experience working within GWEO Group, and strong knowledge and experience in Safety and Suitability for Service (S3) and GWEOG Engineering Management System.
  • Have worked extensively within Engineering Management Systems.
  • Bring 15+ years of Defence experience L4 or 10+ years for L3.
  • Strong in stakeholder engagement.
