Company Overview

Ark Energy Corporation Pty Ltd (Ark Energy) is an Australian subsidiary of Korea Zinc Company Ltd (Korea Zinc), which is listed on the KOSPI and is the largest zinc producer in the world. Ark Energy is transforming Korea Zinc from a ‘Refiner’ to a ‘Refiner plus Renewable Energy and Green Hydrogen Business’. Ark Energy’s mandate is to decarbonize Korea Zinc’s global operations, starting with the Australian operations in Townsville, as part of the group’s plan to be among the first refiners in the world to produce green zinc. Ark Energy has the courage and commitment to decarbonize Korea Zinc, notwithstanding the group operates in notoriously hard to abate industry sectors. Ark Energy is leveraging its experience decarbonising Korea Zinc to support other third party commercial and industrial customers accelerate their own energy transitions. Ark Energy recently announced its friendly acquisition of Epuron, Australia’s leading independent renewable energy developer with a combined development and investigation pipeline of 9,000 MW. Ark Energy will expand Epuron’s business model to develop, build, own and operate projects long-term. Ark Energy is leveraging Korea Zinc’s investments across the hydrogen value chain to become the safest and most competitive producer of green hydrogen, as well as an extreme user and demand creator of green hydrogen. Ark Energy is building Australia’s domestic hydrogen economy first through hydrogen commercial mobility, ahead of ultimately building a new green energy export corridor from Australia to South Korea. At Ark Energy, our values drive our culture and our performance. We know that people make projects. We believe in the tremendous potential of our people and provide an inclusive work environment where our people can thrive both personally and professionally. We are leading the energy transition in notoriously hard to abate industry sectors and proud of our reputation as ‘doers’. With the growth trajectory we are on, this is an exciting time to join Ark Energy.
