ARC Vets have an exciting new opportunity for a qualified nurse to join our dermatology team at our North clinic.
Our compassionate and experienced dermatology team provides care to pets that suffer from skin, ear and nail disease. We have all the state of the art equipment you would expect to find at a referral practice including intradermal allergy testing, a full suite of laboratory equipment, and video
otoscopy. We offer a full range of medical and intervention treatments, including advanced allergy testing and immunotherapy and skin biopsy with histopathologic analysis.

Hours of work
- 36 to 38 hours/ week.
- The Dermatology Clinic is open from Monday through Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm, so dermatology nurses have a set schedule.
Skills and experience
- The successful candidate will:
- Have at least 2 years’ experience working as a veterinary nurse
- Hold a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing or Bachelor of Veterinary Technology degree (or overseas equivalent)
- Deliver an exceptionally high standard of patient care
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Have excellent customer service skills
- Be a team player
- We spend most of our day interacting directly with clients, so not only are good communications skills needed, we are looking for someone who enjoys spending time with clients and their well-loved pets.
Animal Referral Centre (ARC) is a private independently owned and operated animal referral practice established in 2016. We have two modern and amazing Auckland sites – Freemans Bay, Auckland City and Albany, North Shore.
We operate a 24 hour / 7-day week operation for emergency medicine. We also have specialists in small animal surgery, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, cardiology, neurology, dermatology and critical care.
