Animalius Radiology Internship 

Flexible Start Date | 12-18 month fixed-term position

Animalius is seeking a motivated veterinarian to join our Diagnostic Imaging team for a flexible 12–18-month Radiology Internship. We welcome applications from candidates available to commence at any time between now and January 2027, with the internship length tailored to the successful applicant’s start date and career goals. 

This is an exciting opportunity for someone committed to developing a career in small animal diagnostic imaging and preparing for a future radiology residency. 

Animalius is a growth-minded team on a mission to support veterinary professionals and help transform veterinary workplace culture. You will work in a beautiful, purpose-built specialist hospital alongside a genuinely collaborative multidisciplinary team spanning internal medicine, radiology, surgery, dentistry and anaesthesia. 

Our Imaging team includes three registered specialist radiologists, a radiology registrar, radiology resident, Medical Imaging Technologist, dedicated radiology nurses and hospital veterinarians. With access to advanced imaging modalities and a supportive learning environment, the successful applicant will gain valuable experience while working closely with experienced specialists. 

The Radiology Intern will play an integral role in the department, including: 

• Organising and triaging imaging referrals 
• Coordinating sedation and anaesthesia to support safe patient care 
• Assisting the veterinary and nursing teams with diagnostic imaging 
• Supporting the nursing and veterinary teams 
• Communicating with clients and referring veterinarians 
• Developing your understanding of imaging indications and selecting appropriate diagnostic tests 
• Building practical skills in radiography and advanced imaging 
• PACS management 

The program aims to provide the knowledge, experience and professional development needed to become a strong candidate for a radiology residency. 

We are looking for someone who: 

• Has a genuine passion for diagnostic imaging and is eager to learn  
• Welcomes feedback and demonstrates resilience, adaptability and self-reflection  
• Is efficient, organised and able to prioritise effectively  
• Has a proven ability to work productively and collaboratively within a team  
• Holds Membership of the ANZCVS in Radiology or can demonstrate preparation for, or enrolment in, the next available examinations
