What will help you succeed:

• Experience in a shelter, pound, rescue, Inspectorate, veterinary or similar animal welfare environment.
• A practical understanding of animal welfare, behaviour, husbandry and shelter operations.
• Strong people skills and confidence navigating sensitive or challenging conversations.
• A calm, organised and solutions-focused approach to complexity and competing priorities.
• Sound judgement, attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of relevant NSW animal welfare legislation.
• A relevant qualification or substantial practical experience in the animal welfare sector.
• A current driver licence and willingness to travel between locations when required
