About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to support a delightful 5-year-old participant living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Level 3.
This role focuses on providing consistency, emotional regulation support, community participation and building a positive therapeutic relationship.
Location: South Brisbane Area (School Pick-Up
Shifts: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday | 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Duties Include
- School pick-up
- Community access and outings
- Supporting communication and engagement
- Assistance with daily routines
- Encouraging play-based learning
- Behaviour support using a calm and positive approach
- Documentation within ShiftCare
Essential Requirements
- Experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Understanding of emotional regulation and sensory supports
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to remain calm, patient and engaging
- Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent qualification in Disability, Aged Care, Community Services or Health).
Desirable
- Experience with ASD Level 3 participants
- Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support
