About the Role

We are seeking experienced and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our team supporting a participant with a spinal cord injury in Thornlands.

This role is ideal for support workers who are confident providing complex personal care and enjoy building strong, professional relationships with participants.

Available Shifts

  • Evening Shift: 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  • Followed by a non-active sleepover
  • Additional Day Shifts Available: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM (on selected days)

A variety of shifts are available, offering flexibility for the right applicants.

Key Responsibilities

  • High-complex personal care
  • Hoist transfers and manual handling
  • Personal hygiene and dressing assistance
  • Pressure care
  • Assistance with daily living activities
  • Meal preparation and light domestic duties
  • Monitoring participant wellbeing
  • Accurate documentation using ShiftCare
  • Providing respectful, person-centred support

Essential Requirements

  • Experience supporting participants with spinal cord injuries or high-complex care needs
  • Competency in hoist transfers and manual handling
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
  • Current First Aid & CPR
  • Valid Australian Driver Licence and reliable vehicle
  • Strong communication skills and a professional approach
  • Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans
