About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable and experienced female Disability Support Worker to provide regular support to a participant living in Waterford West.
The participant is seeking a female support worker who has a calm, mature and respectful approach and can communicate clearly and confidently in English. Building a positive, consistent and professional working relationship with the participant will be an important part of this role.
Current Shifts

Tuesday: 9:30 am–1:30 pm

Friday fortnightly: 9:00 am–1:00 pm

Saturday: 10:00 am–1:00 pm
Additional shifts may also be available with participants in Waterford West, the wider Logan area and surrounding locations.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on the participant’s individual support needs, duties may include:
- Community access and social participation
- Capacity-building activities
- Assistance with personal care and daily routines
- Domestic assistance
- Meal preparation
- Transport to appointments and activities
- Medication assistance
- Supporting the participant to maintain choice, control and independence
- Completing accurate progress notes and documentation through ShiftCare
- Following the participant’s care plan, routines and risk-management requirements
Essential Requirements
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Blue Card or willingness to obtain one
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Current Australian driver’s licence
- Reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Ageing or an equivalent qualification; a relevant health qualification; or currently studying toward a relevant qualification
- Availability to work the advertised shifts consistently
Highly Regarded
- Previous disability support experience
- Experience providing community access and daily living supports
- Medication competency
- Personal care and manual-handling experience
- Experience supporting participants with complex disabilities
- Nursing or allied health experience
