About the role
We are seeking mechanically minded individuals to perform a variety of operational functions for the production of Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF). The role will operate under the site EA on a 12-hour rotating 24/6 roster.
This is a full-time position working on a 6-day, 12hr rotating shift roster;
4-week Rotating Shift Roster Cycle2 weekends off in every 4 Shift AllowanceResponsibilities include but not limited to:
Set, adjust and perform production runs on both sanding and cut to size equipment ensuring quality is always met;Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and report or resolve problems;Observe gauges, meters and control panels to obtain information about equipment temperatures and pressures, or the speed of feeders or conveyors;Read work orders and communicate with co-workers to determine machine and equipment settings and adjustments and supply and product specifications;Maintain production records such as quantities, dimensions and thickness of materials processed;Examine and measure completed materials or products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring devices such as tape measures, gauges or callipers;Perform test production runs and make adjustments as necessary to ensure that completed products meet standards and specifications.To be successful in the role:
Have sound computer skills and experience in automated control systems, CNC/PLC equipment;Experienced in operating machinery;Be mechanically minded;You will have good communication skills; Be safety conscious, follow safety procedures and be mindful of workplace hazards for yourself and others;Experienced in the wood panel industry (advantageous);Be reliable and able to work on a rotating shift;Must undergo a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.About Us
