Description

Take the next step into project leadership

Alliance SI is looking for a technically capable Project Coordinator to join our NSW Remote Hands team. This is an opportunity to coordinate electrical and communications infrastructure work across current projects, service requests and national rollout programs while continuing to build your capability toward Project Management.

You’ll work closely with our Remote Hands Manager, customers and field technicians to keep each job organised, properly resourced and moving through to completion. The role would suit an experienced Project Coordinator, Supervisor, Lead Technician or Electrician who understands technical delivery and is ready to take greater ownership of project outcomes.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Coordinate electrical and communications projects from customer request through planning, delivery, invoicing and closeout.
  • Review customer requirements and help develop clear scopes of work for project and service activities.
  • Support estimating, quotations, budgets and project planning for smaller and recurring works.
  • Schedule technicians, subcontractors and site attendance across current projects, service requests and rollout programs.
  • Coordinate materials, purchase orders, suppliers, tools and equipment required for successful delivery.
  • Ensure field teams receive the right scope, documentation, materials, access details and safety information before work starts.
  • Monitor labour, project costs, variations, progress and outstanding actions, escalating issues early where required.
  • Keep customers informed and respond promptly to project requests, changes and delivery requirements.
  • Attend customer, project and site meetings where required and maintain clear follow-up actions.
  • Maintain accurate project information, correspondence, work orders, purchase orders and delivery records.
  • Prepare SWMS, job packs, permits and other project and site documentation.
  • Coordinate testing results, as-built information, completion records and handover documentation.
  • Support invoice preparation, WIP management and timely financial closeout.
  • Coordinate national rollout packages and recurring works with consistent project controls and customer communication.
  • Provide practical technical coordination and support within the Remote Hands team.
  • Ensure work is coordinated in line with Alliance SI’s HSEQ systems, customer requirements and quality standards.
  • Support consistent project processes, continuous improvement and effective collaboration across the Remote Hands team.
  • Assist with other project, operational and customer delivery activities as required.

WHO WE’RE HOPING TO MEET

You’ll bring a strong technical foundation and enjoy keeping people, projects and priorities organised. You’ll be comfortable taking ownership, communicating with customers and field teams, and working across multiple jobs without losing sight of detail, safety or commercial outcomes.

  • Experience in project coordination, site supervision, technical service delivery or a similar project-based role.
  • Practical knowledge of electrical, structured cabling, fibre or telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple jobs and competing priorities.
  • Clear and professional communication with customers, technicians, subcontractors and internal teams.
  • A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach with confidence following actions through to completion.
  • An understanding of project costs, labour, materials, variations, purchasing and invoicing.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and project management or scheduling systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate project documentation and reporting.
  • A current NSW Driver Licence and Construction White Card. Experience with Simpro, Smartsheet or similar systems will be highly regarded.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL HERE

This role is designed for someone who wants to move beyond pure administration or field delivery and build broader project ownership. You’ll succeed by combining technical understanding with strong organisation, customer communication and commercial awareness.

  • Take ownership – keep project actions moving from initial request through to completion and closeout.
  • Understand the work – use your technical background to clarify scopes, support field teams and identify issues early.
  • Coordinate confidently – bring customers, technicians, suppliers and internal teams together around clear priorities.
  • Think commercially – understand how labour, materials, variations, WIP and invoicing influence project performance.
  • Keep developing – build your estimating, planning, leadership and commercial capability as you progress toward Project Management.
