All Energy Contracting (AEC) is a leading multidisciplinary construction contractor specialising in renewables and energy infrastructure projects.  We deliver projects across solar, wind, battery energy storage systems (BESS), high voltage connections, substations, balance of plant and associated civil, electrical and mechanical works. 

About the opportunity

Working on a permanent, full-time basis, from our Head Office in Hamilton, AEC are seeking a Purchasing Officer with some prior experience working within the energy infrastructure and renewables industry, specifically solar and wind farms in Australia in New Zealand.

You will be responsible for the procurement of materials, equipment and services to support project delivery, supporting projects delivered by AEC and the wider OCU ANZ Group.

The role ensures purchase orders, supplier quotations and procurement records are processed accurately and within required timeframes, supporting on-time, on-budget delivery of project materials throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Raise and process purchase orders in accordance with PMO procurement procedures.
• Building relationships with suppliers and establishing a long term, reliable supply chain for the wider business.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times and delivery terms with current and new suppliers.
• Coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers, site teams and logistics providers.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.

What you’ll bring

• 2 to 5 years in procurement, purchasing or buying within contruction, infrastructure or renewable energy industries.
• Experience sourcing materials, equipment and services from multiple suppliers.
• An understanding of construction project environments and delivery schedules.
• Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Diploma in Business, Procurement or Supply Chain desirable.
