The Role
Casual positions available to join our team, with a potential to convert to PPT after 6 months for the right applicant. We have shifts available in Newcastle, Maitland, Lemon Tree Passage and Raymond Terrace areas. In this role, you will provide person-centred assistance with daily living, implement behaviour support strategies, and maintain accurate documentation. You will work collaboratively with the care team to ensure consistent, high-quality support while fostering a positive, respectful, and empowering environment for participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Support with daily living activities
- Behaviour management and de-escalation techniques
- Document incidents and progress notes
- Collaborate with the care team for consistent support
- Uphold professional boundaries and ethical standards
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in disability support
- Certificate III in Individual Support (or higher)
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Working With Children Check
- Current NSW Driver’s License
- Understanding of NDIS Practice Standards
- Ability to commit to sleepover shifts
- Experience with Manual Handling (full ceiling hoist lifter and/or pull portable hoist lifter)
- Experience supporting individuals with an acquired brain injury
- Experience with aged care and/or dementia care
- Experience in Mental Health
