The Opportunity

Open for breakfast, lunch & dinner, Thyme’s menu has been created showcasing locally sourced, seasonal produce served alongside excellent coffee, herbal tea blends, local cold-pressed juices and signature cocktails. The wine list highlights the Peninsula’s many local vineyards, distilleries and breweries.

We’re looking for energetic, reliable and proactive Casual Kitchen Hands to join our team at Alba Thermal Springs & Spa.

This is a hands-on, physically active role in a fast-paced kitchen environment, where you’ll play an important part in keeping our kitchen clean, organised and running smoothly. Duties include dishwashing, removing rubbish, cleaning benches and maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment.

The role involves extended periods of standing, regular lifting and carrying, and maintaining an efficient workflow during busy service periods. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a positive attitude, demonstrates initiative and works collaboratively with others. Reliability, a strong work ethic and a willingness to support the wider kitchen team are essential.

Applicants should be comfortable with the practical demands of the role and able to perform its inherent requirements safely.

Midweek, evening and weekend availability required.

• You have experience in a similar role
• You are guest centric, a team player, and have a positive attitude
• You have excellent personal presentation and strong communication skills
• You are capable, reliable and responsible
• You have a valid visa or working rights for Australia
