A day in the life of our Community Job Coach can include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Successfully delivering the Community Development Program (CDP) on behalf of Rise Ventures in line with contractual requirements
  • Managing a caseload of participants who have vocational, and non-vocational barriers to employment/study/health services.
  • Identifying jobs for participants and ensure they apply for and accept any suitable jobs for which they are eligible
  • Conducting various contact interviews and assessments with participants to provide Pre employment and Post employment support and training to participants.
  • Identifying training relevant to local employment opportunities
  • Marketing individual participants to suitable employers and vacancies
  • Placing participants into suitable sustainable employment
  • Providing post-placement support to participants, to ensure the workplace is suitable for the participants
  • Ensuring participants can participate and develop on their personal journey with referral to activities, support services and programmes to support them.
  • Engaging with stakeholders in the local community to attract eligible participants to the service.
  • Supporting Participants to access education and training opportunities.
  • Supporting Participants to develop vocational and non-vocational skills.
  • Assisting participants to access local community service supports.

Successful candidates will have flights and accommodation covered during your time at Pormpuraaw.

To be considered you must…

  • Have full working rights in Australia
  • Have a current driver’s licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Complete an Australia History Criminal Check
  • Have a current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain a Working with Children Check before employment
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 5:00pm
