The Opportunity
Following an internal promotion, we’re excited to open this opportunity for the next Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join our team.
This is a senior, hands-on role within our managed security environment. You’ll work across multiple customer environments, designing and implementing modern security solutions, leading complex changes, and helping customers strengthen their security posture in a practical, meaningful way.
You’ll be trusted to make sound technical decisions, solve challenging problems, and contribute to how our managed security services continue to evolve.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing and implementing secure network and cloud security solutions across customer environments
- Leading complex security upgrades, migrations and remediation initiatives
- Engineering and managing security platforms including firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection, WAF and email security
- Supporting secure LAN, WAN, VPN and segmentation designs to maintain resilient and secure environments
- Strengthening detection and response through threat intelligence and continuous monitoring improvements
- Identifying vulnerabilities and implementing effective mitigation controls
- Using scripting and automation to improve operational efficiency and consistency
- Documenting standards and working closely with customers and internal teams to deliver strong security outcomes
What You’ll Bring
Essential
- 7+ years’ experience in cyber security engineering roles
- Experience delivering or supporting managed security services or multi-customer security environments
- Strong hands-on experience with firewalls, SIEM and endpoint protection platforms
- Solid networking knowledge including TCP/IP, routing, switching, LAN, WAN, VPN, DNS and DHCP
- Proven capability designing and implementing complex security changes and upgrades
- Experience identifying vulnerabilities and implementing effective mitigation controls
- Scripting or automation skills using PowerShell, Python or similar
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to customers and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have:
- Experience with WAF and NDR technologies
- Exposure to security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001 or similar
- Experience with platforms such as Palo Alto, FortiGate, SentinelOne, Illumio, Netskope, Avanan or comparable tools
- Experience applying threat intelligence to strengthen detection and response capability
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security or similar
