Description

The Opportunity

600 partners. 5% of them do any marketing. Do the maths with us.

That gap is the biggest growth lever in our business, and we need someone who looks at it and gets excited, not nervous. Reporting to our CMO, you’ll run partner marketing as a proper programme, not a string of events. Your number will be partner-sourced pipeline. Yours to grow, yours to own, yours to brag about.

This is for the marketer who would rather build something partners actually use than something that wins an internal compliment. You’ll bring practical, creative B2B ideas to partners, including plenty who’ve never run a campaign but will love you for it.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Take partners actively marketing from 5% to 10%, then 20%. Yes, we’ve put the targets in the ad. That’s how serious we are about smashing this out of the park.
  • Own partner-sourced pipeline as your number, and know exactly where every dollar came from.
  • Sort our partners by marketing maturity and build a plan for each group, from “never sent an email” to “ready to go big”.
  • Shape the marketing side of APEX, our partner programme, including designing and running market development funds (MDF) and proving they pay off.
  • Build co-branded campaign packs partners can run under their own name, plus the onboarding emails that get new partners moving fast.
  • Plan our partner events calendar, including the Roadshow and our annual Summit. You’ll work with our event delivery partners on the logistics and think creatively about what makes each one worth turning up to.
  • Create practical marketing training partners will actually use, and show this off through live and virtual sessions working with our Academe and Product Marketing teams.
  • Find the partner stories worth telling, turn them into case studies and award wins, and bring the partner voice into marketing, product and exec planning.

What you’ll bring

  • Channel, partner or field marketing experience in B2B tech, ideally with MSPs, IT providers, resellers or another indirect sales model.
  • You’ve run part of a partner programme end to end (MDF, co-marketing, tiering, partner campaigns) and you built it to scale, not as a one-off.
  • You understand partner economics: margin, and what it takes for a business owner to put their own money on the table.
  • Partners trust you, you like them, and you can make a case to a partner (including skeptical ones with no marketing experience) or our exec team with the same confidence.
  • Creative yet practical ideas with commercial sense, especially about what a small partner with no marketing team will realistically use.
  • You’re comfortable with data. Partner activity, pipeline attribution, the lot having been measured on partner activity or partner-sourced pipeline in the past.
  • Events experience: you manage suppliers and budgets well, and you can juggle events, campaigns and MDF claims without dropping any, and you’re happy to travel when the programme needs it.
  • You use AI tools every day, and you can help partners use them to create on-brand material.
  • A degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or similar, and of course excellent written and verbal communication.
