Description

We are a busy demolition company looking for an experienced Boilermaker / Fabricator to join our team, with a strong focus on the repair, maintenance and fabrication of heavy machinery and demolition equipment.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can assess damage, work out the best repair method and get equipment safely back into service.

The Role

You will be responsible for a range of welding, fabrication and repair work across our demolition fleet and equipment, including:

  • Repairs and modifications to excavators and other heavy machinery
  • Repairing and rebuilding buckets, grabs and demolition attachments
  • Crack repairs and structural welding
  • Wear plate and reinforcement work
  • Fabrication of guards, brackets and other components
  • Cutting, grinding, gouging and welding
  • General fabrication and maintenance
  • Carrying out repairs in the workshop and, when required, on site
  • Working with operators and mechanics to identify faults and keep machinery operational

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a qualified or highly experienced Boilermaker / Fabricator
  • Has strong MIG and stick welding skills
  • Has experience repairing earthmoving, mining, demolition, civil or other heavy equipment
  • Can confidently fabricate and repair heavy steel components
  • Can read drawings, measure accurately and work independently
  • Understands the importance of safe, strong and reliable repairs
  • Takes pride in their workmanship
  • Is reliable and able to work as part of a team
  • Holds a current driver’s licence

Experience with excavators, buckets, demolition attachments, earthmoving equipment and heavy structural repairs will be highly regarded.
