The Role:

As a Weighbridge & Scheduling Attendant, you’ll be the backbone of our operations, ensuring incoming commodities are ordered, received, and meet Reid’s high-quality standards. You’ll be responsible for handling the logistics of incoming raw materials, working closely with our Commodities Manager, Production, and Admin teams, and making sure our mill operations run smoothly.

Your main duties will include:

  • Logistics & Coordination: Order and schedule raw materials, ensuring timely delivery and zero shortages.!
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect and test incoming materials to meet industry and Reid’s strict quality standards.
  • Sampling & Testing: Perform NIR analysis, bacterial swabbing, and other tests to guarantee quality.
  • Stock Management: Keep accurate records of stock levels, manage samples, and assist in inventory counts.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all safety procedures are followed, report hazards, and maintain a safe working environment.

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in weighbridge operations or a similar field would be ideal (but we’re open to a positive attitude and eagerness to learn!)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • A proactive, reliable, and motivated team player who enjoys working independently when needed.
