Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company growth targets
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across all Group divisions (Ports, Logistics, Retail Freight Forwarding and Wholesale Air Freight), leading teams of specialised sales people in each division
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders
- Lead and mentor the various specialist sales teams across the group to enhance performance and achieve objectives
- Conduct market research and analysis to inform strategic decisions and identify trends
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of business development initiatives with operational capabilities
- Prepare and present business proposals and reports to customers, senior management and stakeholders.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic planning with Finance team
About you:
- 20+ years’ experience in ports, logistics or related industrial supply chain businesses
- Proven track record of successfully driving business growth and developing strategic partnerships
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in market analysis and business strategy development
