Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team at Belong Blue Mountains to provide all required minor and major modifications to improve clients’ accessibility within their home.. We are committed to supporting members of the community to live independsently in their own home for as long as possible.

Skills:

– Proven experience as a Carpenter

– Knowledge of construction methods and techniques

– Ability to read blueprints and drawings

– Strong attention to detail and quality

– Basic computer skills

– Effective communication skills

– Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Responsibilities:

– Carry out all required minor & some major modificatoins to improve accessibilty, including grab rails & handrails, small to large access ramps, decking, timber & metal stairs

– Adhere to all safety standards, accessibility regulations and building codes

– Collaborate with clients and Occupational Therapists in the implementation of Home Modifications

– Inspect work for accuracy and quality control

– Provide clear and compassionate communication with clients and their families

– Collaborate with other team members on projects

Qualifications:

– Trade certificte in carpentry or a related field with the relevant trade licence as appropriate or relvant experience

– Valid driver’s license.
