The Body Shop was founded by entrepreneur Dame Anita Roddick, when in 1976 she started selling around 25 hand-mixed naturally inspired products with minimal packaging from one small shop in Brighton, England.
Over the years Anita and The Body Shop have run campaigns against human rights abuses, protecting animals and the environment and shown commitment to boosting self-esteem, winning the support of a generation of consumers.
The first Australian store opened in Melbourne in 1983 – since then we’ve opened more than 90 stores across Australia. Customers are at the forefront of everything we do, say and deliver. We strive to create a fantastic experience for everyone who works with us.
