About this role

We are currently seeking experienced Support Workers who are enthusiastic and passionate about providing a caring, compassionate, respectful, and high-quality service. Our priority is to help our clients live empowered and independently in their own home. This role involves traveling to multiple clients per day, supporting them in their own homes. You will be required to follow care plans to assist with tasks such as showering and personal care, medication prompts, meal preparation, social support, respite, and domestic assistance.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• PERSONAL CARE: Assisting clients with duties including showering, bathing, personal hygiene, and dressing.

• CLEANING: Assisting clients with domestic cleaning such as vacuuming, mopping, laundry, dishes, and cleaning bathrooms.

• MEAL PREP: Assisting clients with preparation of food for regular meals and snacks.

• FOOD SHOPPING: Assist clients with going to the shops to purchase groceries and regular food supplies.

• SOCIAL SUPPORT: Accompanying clients to social engagements or taking them out for social activities such as walks, coffee, lunch etc.

• TRANSPORTATION: Assist with driving clients to appointments and keeping them company.

At Focused Care we require you to have

• NDIS Worker Screening Check

• A minimum of 6 months experience in an aged care support or similar field

• Reliable, Road Worthy and Registered Vehicle

• A Valid WA Driver’s License

• Certificate III or above in either Individual Support / Disability Services / Aged Care

• Availability to work different shifts across Monday to Friday

• Weekend shifts are available.

• Medication Administration Certificate (or willing to obtain)

• Current First Aid Certificate (CPR Desirable) or willing to obtain.
