About The Role

We are currently recruiting for our Kitchen Team of Full time Chef De Partie and Casual Commis Chefs. These roles will be based in Sydney CBD and provide a fantastic opportunity to excel and showcase your skills within a dynamic kitchen team.

What You’ll Be Doing

As part of the kitchen team, Reporting to the Executive Chef. You will be a motivated person with a positive attitude who has an interest in progressing your culinary career, develop your skills, and expose yourself to varying styles of kitchen operations. You will be responsible for producing a wide range of quality products whilst exercising your knowledge of hygiene and safety and maintaining our high guest service standards and involved in a hands-on operation in a very busy and fast paced kitchen, within a team of up to 15 chef/kitchen staff. Experience coming from Thai or Japanese fast paced restaurant background. Maintaining quality and consistency is a key factor in the day to day running of our kitchen. Some tasks associated with this role includes;

Previous experience in fast paced restaurant background in a similar role and be able to demonstrate strong career progression over a requisite number of years.
Produces food of high quality according to standard recipes
Needs to be comfortable managing a busy kitchen with a high level of consistency and creativity.
To follow all food hygiene guidelines in accordance with H&S and FCP
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, enthusiasm to learn new things and above all, a can do attitude
Ability to work a rotating roster including, late evenings, weekends and public holidays
Basic food hygiene certificate is desired but not essential.
Have Australian work rights, with no restrictions

Self-motivated, organized, proactive, mature
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and independently

Qualifications:

Minimum Certificate 3 in commercial cookery

Experience:

Minimum 1 years in a similar role
Previous experience in Thai or Japanese cuisine preferred
