This is a full-time position in a friendly and flexible workplace with a competitive salary package.

The role will be based in the wheatbelt, approximately 2.5 hours’ drive from Perth. The successful candidate will have the option of relocating, for which assistance will be provided, or Drive-in / Drive-out (Monday to Friday), for which accommodation assistance will be provided.

You will be responsible for leading a team providing maintenance and repair services on a variety of Company owned vehicles, particularly trucks, but also utes, cars and forklifts. This is a hands-on leadership role, with the following responsibilities:

Oversee and support a small team of mechanics, providing day-to-day supervision, task allocation, and ensuring high standards of workmanship and safety.
Act as the primary point of contact for all fleet breakdowns and urgent mechanical issues, coordinating timely responses and solutions.
Hands on mechanical duties, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, utes, cars, forklifts and associated equipment.
Order required parts and consumables from approved suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness, accuracy, and timely availability.
Organise 3rd parties, if required, to carry out more complex vehicle repair
Report any major faults requiring repair, and record vehicle repair and maintenance information

Required Skills / Experience / Qualifications

Year-10 completion, with a trade qualification as a Mechanic,
5+ years mechanical experience, preferably Diesel / Truck, with at least 1-year in a supervisory role
