Essendon FC - "The Bombers" - are a professional sporting team in the Australian Football League. As home to 5 sporting teams, we run our AFL men’s and women’s programs, VFL women’s and men’s programs, and a wheelchair football team. But we’re more than the game. Not only do we exist to win premierships, we aim to give back to our loyal membership base, and importantly, our community. We understand and take seriously the impact we have on social outcomes and work tirelessly to ensure these are positive, from our partnership with The Long Walk, to our indigenous pathway programs. About the role

The EEA, hosted at the NEC Hangar, is a partnership between Essendon Football Club and RMIT which delivers a Dual Diploma of Business, Diploma of Leadership and Management in a one-year full-time program.

Reporting to the Essendon Education Academy Manager, the Student Experience Coordinator will be responsible for the development and delivery of a market leading education and work-based placement experience for EEA students. The key focus of the role will be supporting the student cohort to ensure a positive and meaningful experience during their time. Responsibilities include:

Ensuring a tailored and industry leading experience for students within the EEA.

Building and maintaining relationships with internal administration and football department stakeholders as well as students and RMIT key representatives.

Supporting day to day program operations, including effectively responding to student feedback.

Facilitating student placements as well as contributing to innovations to improve the quality of the Academy program.

About you

With an understanding of, or experience in a higher education context, you will pride yourself in your ability to build meaningful relationships with diverse stakeholders. You’ll have strong interpersonal skills, particularly in verbal and written communication. Having experience within student learning and wellbeing and holding a Mental Health First Aid certificate are both desired but not essential.
