We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Energy Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, implementation, and optimization of energy management systems, including renewable energy technologies and microgrid ecosystems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, networking, PLC programming, and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

System Design & Analysis: Develop and analyse energy management system designs, incorporating SCADA and Ignition systems. Conduct feasibility studies and performance modelling.
Implementation & Commissioning: Oversee and participate in the installation and commissioning of energy systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
Troubleshooting & Optimization: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to energy systems, utilizing advanced analytical techniques and PLC programming (MODBUS, CANBUS, OCPP), and communications protocols.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyse, and interpret data from energy systems to identify opportunities for performance improvement and optimization. Prepare detailed reports and recommendations.
Microgrid Ecosystem Support: Contribute to the design and implementation of microgrid ecosystems, supporting the integration of renewable energy sources and energy storage systems.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration and successful project outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a project-level role within energy systems.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, networking, PLC programming (MODBUS, CANBUS, OCPP), and communications protocols.
Experience with SCADA, Ignition, and other supervisory control systems.
Ability to use CAD and or other drawing packages.
Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and microgrid ecosystems is highly desirable.
Ability to travel domestically as required.
