We are looking for a Senior Payroll Officer to join our Finance Team.

You’ll be responsible for processing weekly payroll (approx. 120 employees) and managing the time and attendance system to support warehouse operation's teams. You have a passion for finding better ways and improving efficiencies and are keen to develop rostering and support efficient resource allocation as part of your role.

Responsibilities:

Manage Internal end to end Weekly and Monthly payroll via Employment Hero.
Manage the HR management software (Employment Hero) including onboarding, rostering, time and attendance and payroll.
Review all team member contract hours and availability to identify issues, gaps and highlight impact and solutions to resolve.
Provide reporting from payroll and time and attendance system, to support Finance Manager and Warehouse Manager in efficient and cost effective follow up of resources.
Ensure award and NES compliance in payroll throughout the year.
Assist the Finance and Credit Control Manager with all aspects of staff budgetary control including twice-yearly budgeting and reforecasting process.
Establish key relationships and work closely with the leadership team, to support leaders with efficient management of time and attendance, resulting to accurate and efficient payroll.
Proactively engage in team activities to continually develop a practical understanding of overall operational activities to ensure optimal resources planning strategies are executed to support the business requirements.

What will you bring to the team?

Experience in end-to-end payroll operations, ideally in warehousing or similar industry.
Exposure to Workers' Compensation, Payroll Tax, leave reconciliation & termination payments.
Strong Excel and analysis skills
Ability to develop and influence others through excellent verbal and written communication
Good knowledge of applicable Australian regulatory requirements
Strong attention to detail & excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to organise workload to meet deadlines
Experience with Employment Hero, preferred but not essential.
