The Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, affectionately known as ‘the Perkins’, is Western Australia’s leading medical research facility, investigating the diseases that most impact our families including the hardest to treat cancers, heart disease, diabetes and rare genetic diseases. Salary Packaging
Keep more money in your pocket by paying less tax! Salary package up to $15,900 of your pre-tax salary, up to $2,650 of meals & entertainment expenses, and take advantage of novated lease options through our salary packaging partner, Maxxia.
Additional End-of-Year Leave
Receive an additional 3 days of paid leave for fulltime employees, calculated on a pro rata basis for part-time employees, to be taken during any Christmas shutdown period.
Additional Personal Leave
Perkins provides an additional 2.5 days of personal leave per year for full-time employees, and provided on a pro rata basis for part-time employees.
Paid Parental Leave
A primary caregiver can access 16 weeks of paid parental leave, and even take this at half-pay over 32 weeks. Secondary caregivers can access 4 weeks of paid parental leave, and take this as half-pay over 8 weeks.
Additional Long Service Leave
Receive 13 weeks of paid long service leave on completion of 10 years continuous service, and additional 13 weeks for each subsequent 7 years continuous service.
Free Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Confidential and independent EAP support is extended to all employees and their immediate families. It is provided free of charge to all employees and their family members for up to 6 sessions, and is provided through Altius by Peoplesense.
