Perth Festival is Australia’s longest-running arts festival and your summer invitation to otherworldly experiences. Founded by The University of Western Australia and grounded on Noongar Boodjar, we champion rich Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander traditions alongside contemporary arts practice. We are a not-for-profit organisation with a proud legacy of cultural growth, community engagement and artistic ambition.
For 70 years we have celebrated Perth, its people and culture on the shores of the Derbarl Yerrigan (Swan River), bringing world-class performance, music, film, visual arts and literary events to Western Australia.
Innovation:
We embrace new ideas, new ways of working, new strategies, new opportunities – anything but business as usual. The sparks that fly are creative risks in play. We will challenge the status quo while keeping everyday operations running smoothly.
Excellence:
We aim for excellence, best practice and to deliver quality. We ask this of our Artists and ourselves. The people of Western Australian deserve nothing less.
Access:
We strive to provide opportunities for all Western Australians to engage with a diverse range of arts experiences and seek new audiences from around the State, the Nation and overseas.
Trust
We trust each other to operate honestly, with integrity and a common purpose to achieve the Festival Group’s mission. We treat each other with response and communicate in a language of trust. We use this foundation for the team to build and maintain external relationships as an organisation trusted by others.
At Perth Festival, we believe in supporting our employees both personally and professionally with a range of benefits that help them thrive, including:
Family comes first at Perth Festival. That’s why we offer paid parental leave, so you can be there for the moments that matter most.
We understand that everyone has different needs and responsibilities outside of work. That’s why we offer flexibility options and work from home arrangements for many of our positions.
We believe in taking care of our employees’ physical and mental health. That’s why we offer comprehensive wellness programs through our employee assistance program to help our team members stay healthy and happy.
Working at Perth Festival means living and breathing culture, working with some of the world’s most inspiring art and artists.
Bring your best friend to work. Our dog-friendly office means wagging tails and happier days for everyone.
Our home is on Whadjuk Noongar boodja, beside the Derbarl Yerrigan, where culture, Country and creativity come together.
