Position: Cleaning Supervisor

Reporting to the Contract Manager, your role as a Cleaning Supervisor for one of our educational facilities will be crucial in building strong relationships and ensuring commitment and accountability in the delivery of cleaning services for this contract. The Cleaning Supervisor plays a vital role in driving operational excellence and ensuring a positive client experience.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Effectively managing daily operational activities, including site inspections.
- Conducting toolbox talks and overseeing the delivery of cleaning services on-site.
- Implementing a proactive approach to meet key stakeholders’ (Client Relationship Manager, Lead Supervisor, Client, and related parties) requirements, achieve desired outcomes, and drive improvements, ensuring that delivery standards and specifications are consistently met.
- Promoting and monitoring safe work practices, ensuring compliance with OHS procedures, risk management, and regulatory obligations.
- Maintaining equipment and adequate materials and supplies for the site, including PPE and consumables stock levels.
- Inducting and training new staff to ensure they meet the expected standards and quality of the cleaning industry.
- Completing administrative tasks, including responding to emails, processing customer service work orders, and maintaining and updating site documents.
- Generating summary reports, overseeing and tracking the roster, and completing payroll timesheets for the assigned portfolio.
About you
You always strive to do your best, and with a continuous improvement mindset and flexible approach, you are highly adaptable and calm even during challenging and busy times. As the successful candidate, you will ideally have:
- Demonstrate previous experience in a similar role within the cleaning industry (highly desirable).
- Demonstrated track record of engaging with clients, suppliers, and management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), alongside effective conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities, tailored to diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Excellent presentation, organisational, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and time management skills to efficiently prioritise and meet competitive deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as autonomously.
- Demonstrates a proactive attitude towards work, taking on tasks beyond core responsibilities.
