Summary:

As a Senior Commercial Manager at Modus, you will play a pivotal role in driving the commercial success of our projects within the workplace industry. Based in London Bridge, you will be responsible for overseeing contract negotiations, managing client relationships, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. Your expertise will contribute to the strategic growth of the company and enhance our reputation in the market.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the commercial aspects of construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor project budgets and financial performance, ensuring profitability and cost control.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide commercial advice and support to project teams, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present reports on project performance and financial forecasts to senior management.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a commercial management role within the building and construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and commercial principles.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyse complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Chartered status with a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is preferred.
