The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Lecturer in Events Management to join our academic team. You will play a central role in delivering high‑quality, practice‑based teaching that equips students with the skills, knowledge, and professional mindset required to succeed in the global events, hospitality, and experiences industries.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and workshops across Events Management modules
- Teach across areas including event planning and operations, event design, and event marketing
- Cover topics such as event feasibility, budgeting, risk management, health and safety, and logistics
- Teach event marketing, digital promotion, social media, and stakeholder engagement
- Embed sustainability, ethical practice, and responsible event management throughout the curriculum
- Design, assess, and mark coursework in line with academic and awarding body regulations
- Support student learning, progression, and achievement, including personal tutoring responsibilities
- Encourage critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and professional practice
- Integrate digital tools, data‑informed approaches, and emerging technologies including AI into teaching
- Contribute to curriculum development, academic enhancement, and quality assurance activities
- Engage with industry partners, supporting live briefs, guest lectures, and employability initiatives
About You
Essential
- Subject expertise in Events Management, Hospitality, Tourism, or a related discipline
- Experience delivering teaching or supporting learners in further or higher education
- Ability to deliver engaging, applied, and student‑centred teaching
- Strong communication, organisation, and presentation skills
- Industry awareness and a commitment to employability‑focused education
- Passion for ethical practice, sustainability, and inclusive learning
Desirable
- Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
- Industry experience or active research within the events or hospitality sector
- Experience teaching degree‑level programmes
- Familiarity with industry‑aligned or professionally accredited courses
