We’ve brought together a world-class team from a wide range of industries. As we continue to expand, we need brilliant people (like you!) to help bring the Townhouse brand to life across the world.

  • Passionate in everything we do
  • Nice people

Townhouse was born out of the idea that ‘details matter’ – our customers strive for perfection in the details, and so do we. Our passion fuels our work and drives constant innovation. Finally, we pride ourselves on finding nice, kindhearted people to join our mission to revolutionise the industry.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled In-House Maintenance Operative to join our growing Compliance & Facilities team and help maintain our portfolio of premium salons across the UK.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone with strong practical experience across plumbing, HVAC and electrical maintenance. You’ll be responsible for delivering reactive repairs, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and general building maintenance, helping to keep our salons safe, operational and well maintained.

You’ll work closely with our existing In-House Maintenance Technician, sharing the maintenance workload, providing cover and supporting each other by sharing skills and technical knowledge. As we continue to grow our in-house engineering capability, this role offers the opportunity to develop your skills further and play an important part in maintaining and improving our estate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across our UK salon portfolio, using our CAFM system (MaintainX) to manage jobs and record completed work.
  • Work closely with the In-House Maintenance Technician to share the workload, provide cover and share technical knowledge and experience.
  • Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including toilets, taps, leaks, pipework, drainage, pumps and water heaters.
  • Carry out HVAC maintenance and servicing, alongside electrical fault-finding and minor repairs within your qualifications and competency.
  • Complete general building maintenance, including doors, locks, carpentry, decorating, silicone and fixtures and fittings.
  • Support salon refurbishments, equipment installations and wider maintenance and compliance projects, coordinating specialist contractors where required.

ABOUT YOU

Essential

  • Strong experience in Building Services, Facilities Maintenance or Multi-Skilled Engineering.
  • Good practical experience across plumbing, HVAC and electrical maintenance, with the ability to diagnose faults and complete repairs yourself.
  • Plumbing qualification (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent).
  • Electrical qualification (Level 2 Electrotechnical minimum) and 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Experience delivering reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across multiple commercial sites.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and recognise when specialist support is required.
  • Confident using CAFM/FM systems such as MaintainX, mobile technology, Microsoft Office and email.
  • A proactive, organised and collaborative approach, with good communication skills and the ability to build a strong working relationship with our existing In-House Maintenance Technician.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and occasionally work outside normal trading hours.

Desirable

  • Level 3 Electrotechnical qualification.
  • F-Gas certification and HVAC maintenance experience.
  • Emergency Lighting Competent Person qualification.
  • Fire Door Inspection qualification.
  • IOSH Working Safely and Asbestos Awareness training.

LOCATION

This is a full-time, permanent role based from our Support Centre hub in London, with travel required across our UK salon portfolio.

You’ll be expected to travel regularly between sites, with travel expenses covered. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to complete maintenance activities outside of salon trading hours.
