Head of Product
Organisation: Team RH
Location: Office based — Team Valley, Gateshead
Reporting to: Chief Product Officer
Contract: Full Time, Permanent — 37.5 hours per week
About the Role
We’re Team RH, and our mission is simple: make sustainable fat loss achievable, affordable and accessible for as many people as possible. That mission is also why we build and manage our own technology. The Team RH App is built in-house, end to end, so the tools our members rely on — food tracking, tailored coaching, goal setting, real data — are built specifically to help people make genuine progress, not bent to fit a platform that wasn’t designed for that job. We’re real people, helping real people. No egos, just a team that cares about the outcomes we deliver.
As Head of Product, you will lead the team responsible for turning strategy into meaningful, measurable impact. Working closely with our Chief Product Officer, you will ensure our squads — organised around clear member outcomes — are focused on the highest-value problems, operating with clarity, autonomy and strong product thinking within our existing OKR and North Star framework.
This is a leadership role centred on outcomes, problem ownership and product quality. You will lead and develop a team of Product Owners, strengthen how we define and prioritise opportunities, and ensure we are consistently building products that genuinely help people change their lives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Impact & Focus
- Ensure each squad has clear problem ownership and measurable outcomes.
- Hold Product Owners accountable for defining high-value opportunities grounded in user insight and commercial impact.
- Maintain clarity of priorities so teams can focus on what matters most.
- Surface trade-offs and misalignment early to support strong decisions.
- Push teams to focus on outcomes, not just shipping features.
2. Leadership & Development
- Line-manage and develop Product Owners across multiple squads.
- Raise the bar on product thinking, problem framing and decision quality.
- Coach the team to think in terms of impact, experimentation and learning, not just feature output.
- Support progression from strong execution to stronger strategic product capability.
3. Strategy in Practice
- Translate CPO-level strategy into clear quarterly objectives and problem spaces.
- Ensure roadmaps reflect both business priorities and real user value.
- Maintain alignment as priorities evolve in a fast-moving environment.
- Provide clear visibility of progress, risks and impact to senior leadership.
4. Product Operating Model
- Embed and strengthen our Product Operating Model as we scale.
- Clarify decision rights and ownership across squads.
- Improve consistency in discovery, prioritisation and measurement.
5. Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner closely with Engineering, Delivery, Design, Data, QA, Marketing and Member Experience to ensure strong cross-functional collaboration.
- Partner with our Technical Director and Principal Engineer where product priorities intersect with technical strategy or complex build decisions.

Our Values
We Treat People Right
Everyone gets the same level of respect. Your role doesn’t change how you speak to people, or how you’re spoken to.
We Set High Standards
We are a high-performing team (Team RH) pursuing excellence for our members, and we measure ourselves against the best in the world, not just the industry.
We Don’t Have Egos
Ego stays at the door. Curiosity comes in. The best idea wins, whoever it came from — and admitting you were wrong is part of the job, not a mark against you.
We Trust Our Gut
If something feels wrong, it usually is. Raise it on instinct, then back it with data.
We Answer to the Member
Is this right for the member? That’s the question behind every decision, and it outranks every other interest in the room.
