With a passion for technical support, in particular stage lighting and sound, you will be driven by superhero service and to deliver world-class performance, on and off the stage. Role & Responsibilities 

The Event Technician oversees the technical aspect of the Entertainment Programme. 

  • Mixing and operating audio or lighting and Qlab for production shows and musical entertainment 
  • Develop a confident understanding of H&S processes and procedures and ensure all technical areas are in full compliance with H&S regulation. 
  • Supporting and directly working with the Operations department and other Management 
  • Maintain and carry out opening and closing checks on venues and equipment 
  • Assisting the rest of the team with get ins, set ups, and get outs. 
  • Provide technical support to other areas of the project as required 
  • Attending additional rehearsals and soundchecks where required and as directed by management. 
  • Adapting the entertainment due to reasons including but not limited to, poor weather, or illness.

  • Have a technical skillset and up-to-date knowledge of AV technical and production.

  • Are proactive with a problem-solving attitude. 
  • Can operate Digital Sound Desks. 
  • Can operate Lighting Consoles. 
  • Have experience in QLab, programming, and operating. 

Salary & Benefits 

£700 Per Week 

Full training will be provided 

 

Employment Information 

Contract type: Self-Employed Limb B

Working Hours: Average 40 hours per week. Flexible shift patterns including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays (essential for spreading Christmas cheer!)

Location: Luton Area 

*This role will include split shifts dependant on entertainment programme and scheduling requirements

 

Dates 

November, December 2026 and early January 2027
