Description

The Role

As Service Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and performance of the workshop and service reception. You will ensure operational efficiency, maintain exceptional client experience standards, and drive department profitability while preserving the reputation of the RPM Technik brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the workshop, managing workflow across six technicians and ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained.
  • Supervise and support the service team, including technicians and administrative staff, fostering a positive working environment.
  • Oversee vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures to ensure timely completion and adherence to safety standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximise revenue while providing honest recommendations to customers.
  • Uphold a premium, transparent and trust-based client experience. Handle customer enquiries, resolve complaints effectively, and ensure an outstanding customer experience, Collaborate with the parts manager to ensure the timely availability of parts and effective job planning.
  • Manage cash handling procedures accurately.
  • Report to, and work closely with, the After-sales Manager to deliver departmental objectives and performance targets.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Service Manager or Senior Service Advisor within the automotive industry
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship abilities
  • Excellent organisational and scheduling skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Commercial awareness with a track record of achieving performance targets.
  • Experience within a premium or performance automotive environment preferred
  • Porsche experience is highly desirable
  • Full UK driving licence required
