Senior Healthcare Assistant – ENT Services

9 & 25 Harley Street | Permanent – 37.5 hours per week.

Phoenix Hospital Group are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our outpatient team primarily supporting our ENT services at our Harley Street Clinics. This permanent, full-time role is essential for providing high-quality patient care and support during a patients journey with Phoenix Hospital Group.

Reporting to the Lead Outpatient Nurse and the Director of Clinical Services, the successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting healthcare professionals and ensuring the smooth operation of our services, contributing to the overall patient experience and care outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of qualified healthcare professionals.
• Prepare and maintain clinical equipment and ensure cleanliness in the work environment.
• Support the delivery of high-quality patient care within our outpatient services
• Contribute to maintaining a safe, welcoming and professional outpatient environment.
• Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.
• Participate in training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with organisational policies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a healthcare assistant role, preferably within an ENT or similar medical setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence in supporting patients and clinical staff during appointments and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
• Is flexible and willing to support different outpatient clinics when required.
• Proficient in using healthcare technology and maintaining patient records.
• Understands the importance of safeguarding, confidentiality and patient dignity.
