Description

We are looking for product practitioners who can design, define and refine digital products. You have real product management experience, and you also understand consulting and the intricacies of client work.

As a Senior Manager, you will lead product engagements for PE-backed portfolio companies and corporate clients. You will shape what gets built and why, and take it from first idea through to a product in use. You will do this inside client relationships with their own priorities, stakeholders, budgets and constraints. You will also originate work, develop your team and help build the practice.

About Palladium

Palladium Digital is an innovative and fast-growing digital consultancy specialising in the private equity space, with a growing corporate client base. We are award-winning practitioners, recognised for the quality of our Digital Due Diligence, Digital Transformation and Commercial strategy work, and recently acquired by Inspirit Capital and PCB Partners, backing our next phase of growth as we build on our leadership position in digital and technology advisory for the PE sector. We work from offices in London, New York and Oxford.

Our work spans two connected practices: Transaction Advisory Services, which provides digital and technology due diligence to PE investors; and Value Creation, which helps PE-backed and corporate businesses define opportunities and execute on their growth potential. Deep functional expertise underpins all of it, across our practitioner-led centres of excellence: commercial and market strategy; tech-enabled sales, marketing and service acceleration; AI and data landscape navigation, solution design and deployment; and rapid technology solution design and deployment for complex problems.

We value entrepreneurship, adaptability and creative problem solving. There are real opportunities here to shape how we work, not just do the work.

What you will do

Client leadership and commercial development

  • Lead client engagements end to end, from problem framing and product strategy through to delivery and measurable value realisation.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as their product and digital advisor and a credible thought partner on product decisions.
  • Support business development, including proposals, pitches and tender responses, and help identify and shape new opportunities.
  • Manage scope and commercial delivery on every engagement, so the client sees a clear return on their spend.

Product strategy and delivery

  • Design, define and refine digital product strategies that align user needs, client objectives and the commercial case.
  • Own the product roadmap: identify key features, prioritise them by business impact, and drive them through to implementation.
  • Act as the key product decision maker on projects, owning the product backlog and keeping decisions, progress and risks visible to the programme team and client stakeholders.
  • Produce high-quality client deliverables, from reports, customer journey maps and product roadmaps through to working digital products.

Programme delivery

  • Work with delivery and technology peers to run delivery across multiple workstreams, holding quality, pace and client confidence throughout.
  • Translate client needs into robust, user-centric solutions.
  • Navigate ambiguity and manage risk before it surfaces as a problem.

Practice and people development

  • Lead and develop a team of product professionals, setting clear objectives, coaching them, and building the bench for the practice.
  • Help shape and build Palladium’s Product Practice with the Head of Product, developing frameworks, playbooks and repeatable approaches that scale.
  • Sharpen your own command of product management technique and the wider digital and technology landscape, and feed it back into client work and internal growth.

What we are looking for

Essential

  • At least 6 years in product management and delivery, including digital transformation programmes, with a firm grasp of product management, agile methodologies and architectural and engineering principles.
  • A track record of leading client engagements end to end, not just contributing to them.
  • Experience line-managing and developing product team members.
  • Full product lifecycle experience, from ideation to launch, with significant exposure to software development.
  • A track record of defining and managing product backlogs and roadmaps, keeping them aligned to business goals and user needs.
  • Experience governing demand pipelines and business requests: negotiating timelines, scope and competing priorities while managing stakeholders.
  • The commercial skill to manage contracts, scope and the commercial success of projects and teams, with a track record of originating and winning work.
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills: confident with senior audiences, skilled at facilitation, and able to influence and explain complex ideas clearly.
  • A genuine passion for product management and the wider technology landscape, with the drive to keep learning.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.

Desirable

  • At least 4 years in a consulting organisation, fluent in the dynamics of product delivery inside a consultant and client relationship.
  • Familiarity with the private equity landscape, portfolio company dynamics or PE-backed transformation contexts.
  • Experience building propositions or practice capability within a consultancy.
  • Exposure to corporate (non-PE) transformation clients.
