As we continue to scale our offering, we are establishing a dedicated insurance division to serve our client base and the wider market.

The Opportunity

This is a rare and genuinely exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial insurance professional to build a business from the ground up — with the full backing, infrastructure and network of an established financial group behind them.

 

The Head of Insurance will be the founding leader of P10’s insurance proposition, with a mandate to design,launch and grow both commercial (business) and real estate insurance products and services. This role carries significant responsibility and, for the right individual, meaningful upside through an equity stake in the insurance business.

 

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Proposition

  • Design and build P10’s business and real estate insurance proposition from inception
  • Develop a compelling product and service suite tailored to the needs of P10’s client base
  • Leverage P10’s extensive existing network to drive rapid growth and client acquisition
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities within commercial and real estate insurance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, underwriters and market partners
  • Bring and maintain key relationships with professional networks such as commercial agenets, solicitors and other professional parties

 

Team Leadership & Recruitment

  • Recruit, build and lead a high-performing insurance team aligned to P10’s culture and ambitions
  • Define team structure, roles and responsibilities as the division scales
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
  • Work closely with the broader P10 leadership team to integrate the insurance division seamlessly

 

Operations & Process

  • Design and implement end-to-end operational processes for the insurance division
  • Establish compliance frameworks in line with regulatory requirements
  • Build scalable systems and workflows to support growth from day one
  • Manage relationships with technology providers, brokers and distribution partners

 

Sales Execution

  • Take personal ownership of sales performance, driving revenue from launch
  • Set, monitor and report on sales targets and KPIs to the P10 Board
  • Convert P10’s network into clients through consultative, relationship-led sales
  • Lead pitches, presentations and negotiations with prospective clients and partners

Strategic & Commercial Oversight

  • Develop and execute a multi-year business plan for the insurance division
  • Report regularly to the P10 Board on financial performance, pipeline and strategic progress
  • Identify M&A, partnership or distribution opportunities that accelerate growth

 

Who We Are Looking For

Essential Experience

  • Significant experience in commercial or real estate insurance, ideally across both
  • A track record of building and scaling insurance propositions or businesses
  • Proven ability to lead, recruit and develop high-performing teams
  • Strong existing relationships within the insurance market (insurers, underwriters, brokers)
  • Demonstrable success in a senior sales or business development capacity
  • Deep understanding of UK insurance regulation and FCA compliance requirements

 

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working within or alongside a financial services group or wealth management business
  • Exposure to real estate investment, property finance or commercial lending sectors
  • Experience structuring shareholder agreements or equity arrangements
  • Established network within the SME, HNW & real estate investor community
