Head Of ABL

Summary:

The Head of ABL will play a pivotal role in leading the Asset-Based Lending division within our financial services group. This position is crucial for driving strategic initiatives, enhancing client relationships, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The successful candidate will leverage their extensive experience to foster growth and innovation in our lending practices, contributing significantly to the overall success of the organisation.

Experience Required:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record in Asset-Based Lending or a similar area within financial services.
• Experience advising across all ABL lines
• Must demonstrate the ability to structure facilities in excess of £5m+
• Proven track record in managing relationships with businesses that have excess of £15m+ turnover

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans for the Asset-Based Lending division to achieve business objectives.
• Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Manage client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
• Oversee the assessment and approval of lending applications, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
• Prepare and present reports to senior management on performance metrics and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record in Asset-Based Lending or a similar area within financial services.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the financial sector.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex financial regulatory environments, including relevant UK and international compliance standards.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
