Description

Key Responsibilities Personal Care – Assist clients with bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting – – Support mobility, including transfers and use of mobility aids – – Assist with continence care where required Daily Living Support – Help with meal preparation and feeding where necessary – – Support clients with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping – – Assist with medication reminders in line with care plans Emotional and Social Support – Provide companionship and conversation – – Encourage participation in social and community activities – – Support clients in maintaining independence and wellbeing Health & Monitoring – Observe and report changes in clients’ physical or mental health – – Maintain accurate care records and report to supervisors – – Follow individual care plans and risk assessments Safety & Compliance – Follow safeguarding procedures and health & safety policies – – Maintain confidentiality and respect client dignity – – Ensure infection control and hygiene standards are met Skills and Competencies – Compassionate and patient approach – – Strong communication and interpersonal skills – – Ability to work independently and manage time effectively – – Reliable and trustworthy – – Basic literacy and record-keeping skills Qualifications and Requirements – Previous experience in care (preferred but not always required) – – NVQ / Diploma in Health and Social Care (desirable) – – Willingness to complete training such as safeguarding and manual handling – – Enhanced DBS check required – – Right to work in the UK – – Driving licence and access to a vehicle may be required Working Conditions – Work takes place in clients’ homes within the community – – Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays – – Travel between clients may be required
