Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to join our team in Manchester, specialising in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. This permanent, full-time role is crucial for ensuring the optimal performance of our equipment and systems at client sites. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction through effective service delivery and technical support.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair equipment at customer locations to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and systems.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment usage and maintenance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, providing timely solutions.
  • Document service activities and maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for service improvements and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology relevant to FMCG.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant technical qualification, such as a diploma in engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a field service role, preferably within the FMCG industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients.
  • A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
