Part-Time Maintenance Person Residential Care Services | Birmingham

£14.75 to £16.00 per hour plus holiday pay Part-time | 2 to 3 days per week depending on service needs

We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Person to support our residential care services in Birmingham. The homes support adults in a safe and comfortable environment, and your role will help ensure everything stays well maintained, clean, and running smoothly for both residents and staff.

This is a flexible part-time role suited to someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys being hands-on.

What the role involves

You will support with the day-to-day upkeep of the service and respond to maintenance needs as they arise.

• Carrying out general repairs and basic maintenance tasks • Ensuring the building, equipment, and outdoor areas are safe and well maintained • Completing routine health and safety checks • Supporting with painting, minor plumbing, furniture assembly, and basic DIY tasks • Reporting larger repair issues when specialist contractors are needed • Working closely with the management team to maintain a comfortable environment for residents

What we are looking for

• Someone practical, dependable, and organised • Previous maintenance, caretaker, handyman, or facilities experience is helpful • Able to work independently and manage tasks efficiently • A good eye for detail and a proactive approach • Friendly and respectful when working around residents and staff
