Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our dynamic team in the building and construction industry in Perth, Scotland. The Estimator will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate project cost assessments, contributing to the successful delivery of projects while maintaining our commitment to quality and client satisfaction. Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on drawings, specifications, and other relevant documents.
Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure all aspects of the project are considered in the estimation process.
Analyse labour, material, and overhead costs to provide comprehensive and competitive bids.
Maintain and update a database of costs and pricing for materials and services to ensure accuracy in future estimates.
Review and assess subcontractor bids and proposals to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Prepare and present detailed reports and documentation for management review.
Assist in the negotiation of contracts and agreements with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications:

A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating within the building and construction industry.
Proficient in using estimating software and tools, with strong numerical and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of current building regulations and standards in the UK.
