The Role

We’re looking for someone who will create an immediate impact within our company and across one of our client accounts, delivering events within various disciplines, including motorsport, days and conferences.
Reporting to the Account Director, the Events Account Manager will be responsible for organising and implementing events throughout the year. The successful person will need to be happy to get stuck in with managing lots of elements, have a desire to get their hands dirty, and importantly, deliver onsite. So, a willingness to travel is a must.
A solid understanding of global brand sponsorship is essential to identifying client partnership objectives and how events support their broader sponsorship strategy and business goals. You should be able to plan several events simultaneously, demonstrating the ability to multitask with significant event experience in executing multifaceted activities to the highest level and with precise attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for the client, building and maintaining a strong, personable partnership
- Regularly engage with markets and client hosts to ensure their needs are met and exceeded for each event
- Ensure all meeting notes, decisions, and approvals are documented in writing
- Keep work-in-progress documentation and shared SharePoint files up to date
- Collaborate with the Account Director and the client to develop an annual event strategy, and support the promotion and marketing initiatives to maximise attendance and enhance guest engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Support administrative tasks for regular meetings with the client and agency team—covering agendas, actions, and follow-ups
Event Management
- Take direction from the Account Director
- Plan, create, develop, and execute integrated events from initial concept to post-event analysis and reconciliation, ensuring they align with the client’s brand guidelines and objectives
- Manage all elements of the events, including but not limited to ticket sourcing, venue research, catering requirements, transport requirements, cultural tours, talent appearances, scheduling, business content requirements, and all operational documentation requirements for the on-site event team
- Support on all Health & Safety deliverables and requirements, including creating risk assessments, obtaining third-party documentation, and creating the Event Safety Plan for events
- Oversee the production of creative and digital assets, and ensure the highest quality standards
- Create written documents, including welcome letters, event briefing packs, post-event reports, and ROI documents
- Carry out day-to-day operations related to events, including working to agency standard operating procedures and templates
- Organise pre-event briefings with the internal onsite event team, contractors, and third-party suppliers
- Organise host briefing meetings for client market hosts attending the event
- Organising merchandise and gift fulfilment
- Liaise with suppliers and agencies
Budget Management
- Draft event budgets for market enquiries under the direction of the Account Director
- Source third-party quotes, ensuring cost efficiencies are made where possible, whilst maintaining quality
- Ensure approved budgets are adhered to
- Support with completion of post-event reconciliation
Event Analysis
- Gather and analyse feedback and operational metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and actionable insights
- Organise post-event wash-up meetings to align with our continual improvement objective
Internal Communications
- Collaborate with the wider Ignition Collective team to create and develop comprehensive documentation and supporting materials required for each event
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (creative, digital, production, and comms), ensuring any supporting departments are given a brief of requirements within an achievable time frame
Day-to-Day
- Manage a mix of assigned day-to-day account responsibilities and workstreams, as well as standalone projects – be it planning, coordination, and execution stages of client events from concept through to on-site delivery
- Ensure the project management systems is continually updated with event details
Systems, Technology & Digital Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a motorsport hospitality and events role
- An ability to travel, and sometimes at short notice
- Budget management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in a professional environment, managing multiple projects at one time
- Professional approach with attention to detail
- Full driver’s license
