The Key Requirements…

• A registered member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS)
• At least two years of practice-based experience, inclusive of small animal practice

In a small, friendly, and growing veterinary practice, our entrusted staff are given the freedom to foster a personable approach and a positive working environment. 

As our next Veterinary Surgeon, your daily duties will include performing consultations, imaging diagnostics, and surgery. You won’t be called upon for unscheduled, out-of-hours work; our much-valued team is encouraged to have a healthy work-life balance. We do what’s right for our employees, not just our clients.

We would be open to applications from someone who may hold a certificate or have a particular interest to help us grow our practice and further improve our high standard, fairly priced veterinary offering. 

 Our opening hours are 8am to 7pm, Monday to Friday, and 8.30am to 13.30pm, on a Saturday. A full-time vet works 38.5 hours, Monday to Friday, in a regular shift pattern, as well as one out of every four Saturday shifts, averaging out at a 40-hour week overall. Should an emergency operation mean you work beyond your scheduled shift, you will either be paid for overtime at your normal, pro-rata salary rate or be offered time back in lieu. If an emergency requires surgical work outside of normal opening hours, an out-of-hours bonus is paid alongside normal, pro-rata overtime.
