Description

Family-run business with a focus on civil engineering in the utilities sector, requires a Works Scheduler / Works Coordinator.

The ideal candidate will have a background working in the civils / utilities industries, as the role will focus on scheduling maintenance and reinstatement activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain works scheduling system, ensuring the timely dispatch of teams
  • Use SWIMS (Street Works Information Management System) software to track and manage all street works activities, making sure this complies with local authority and utility regulations
  • Act as the main point of communication between site teams, contractors and clients, giving updates on works
  • Ensure effective allocation of resources
  • Maintain accurate records of all activities, covering response times, rates of completion and usage of resources
  • From the resulting data, create reports that will help improve efficiencies

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated, organised and a team player
  • Excellent communications skills, written and verbal
  • Experience as a Works Scheduler / Works Coordinator / NRSWA Permitting Officer or similar in the civils / utilities / construction field
  • Competency using SWIMS software, Symology or equivalent
